Menu Scripts and the Script Button |

Menu Scripts and the Script Button are also slated for the next release of CBLite. Both of these will help keep CBLite customizable while work is being done on CrystalBall v4.0. They also add some very exciting possibilities for doing just about anything you can imagine with your dice rolling and game play in CBLite.
Menu Scripts are very similar to Dice Scripts except they are not run from the Dice Roller. Menu Scripts are activated by choosing them from the "Scripts" menu as the name implies. Each script is saved in its own file which can be easily shared with other CBLite users. A menu script can do almost everything a Dice Script can except that it cannot return a value to a dice roll. This makes sense because the script was not initiated from a dice roll to begin with.
The Script Button is a new kind of button that will be available on the Dice Roller window. The Script Button blows the doors wide open on what you can accomplish with the dice roller. The Script Button will have certain "Events" that will be fired when you use the button such as: Push. When the user pushes the button this event will fire. You will be able to place whatever code you want in the Push event to determine the behavior of pushing the button. There will also be other events such as Paint, MouseOver, MouseMove, MouseExit, Value Changed. etc... This will allow you to customize the look of the button during those various states that the button is in. This makes for some very exciting possibilities and a whole new range of button types that can be used with CBLite.
