Scripting is awesome. It allows amazing things like animated buttons, complex rolling without all the overhead of the dice syntax, USER PROMPTING!!, and a myriad of other things. And the extra cool part is that most all of it is coded AND WORKING! There's a few things left that we're clearing up and then a major testing run through. But now the exterior poking has begun.
As with all things in life, when you're on top, GET READY FOR THE PLUNGE! Things get busy quickly and pokers are inserted in to the fire suffocating the flame. Babies come, work gets hairy, side projects require serious attention... UGG!! One such project is now that it's almost freezing at night, I have to get the outside faucet to stop leaking. During the summer, a simple cap works great. But, when it starts freezing, the cap breaks and I'm draining dollar bills out the backside of the house.
How does this effect CB development? Hopefully, not much. The frenzy continues unabated. A recent pow wow brought resolution to several road blocks and we now have a clear vision of how to finish off this release. With a little more pizza and chocolate milk the final touches should be completable and the pre-release testing document can be checked off (such a !!BORING!! thing to do!!! (Note: it was the single untested thing last release that ended up being the big-nasty-blatant-bug (points at Mr Frenzy))). All that remains is figuring out how much to pay Mrs Cryptic and Mrs Frenzy to run through the Ultimately Boringest Final Testing Check Off List (UBFTCOL) (MB UBFTCOL).
