Painful Poking Pokers

Scripting is awesome. It allows amazing things like animated buttons, complex rolling without all the overhead of the dice syntax, USER PROMPTING!!, and a myriad of other things. And the extra cool part is that most all of it is coded AND WORKING! There's a few things left that we're clearing up and then a major testing run through. But now the exterior poking has begun.

The next CBLite release features Scripting!  Scripting allows total customization of CBLite rolling.  Scripts can be called from rolls, run from a menu, and can even call other scripts and do rolls.  Buttons will have events that trigger scripts.  Also included is a library of CBLite methods allowing easy interaction with your buttons, tables, variables, and even User Prompting using a customized prompter!

The script editor looks like this:

The scripting development continues at a frenzied pace. We've got the context methods set up and the script editor is absolutely awesome. As with everything that seems to be going on with CBLite, the projects balloon with COOL creature creep. We have feature lock helping keep out the extra tidbits so we should be getting a release out sooner than later.Write Comment (0 comments)
